Lewis finishing off his fish supper and Lady is watching :-)
I have been wondering where you were. I was going to e-mail you but have had big computer probs and only today got it more or less back to normail.
Hope you are well?
Lewis settled down for the night.
It is still light up North and dark down South :-(
Nitecam on now.
Yes sunset at Loch of The Lowes is getting a lot earlier. See sunrise/sunset LOTH
Yes Tiger. The days are definitely shortening now. Even though sunset is at 21.26, it is (low and fading) light for a good 45 minutes after that but you can already sense the cooler evenings here and certainly that it is darker earlier (already). Today was gloriously sunny though, bucking the trend for a lot of the UK and this will have helped with the fishing conditions for ospreys needing to be in tip top condition for their long migrations. I feel sad thinking about it but of course it is inevitable and I wish them good fortune when the time comes. Hopefully I will steal a visit to LOTL on Thursday afternoon and catch a glimpse of the lovely family, especially Lewis, before they all leave.
Sandra: Thanks for starting off August. Where has the year gone!
Blue currently alone on the nest.
Laddie arrived with a fish; Blue has grabbed it as Laddie flies off. No sign of Lady yet.
Lady arrived while I was watching Gymnastics from London - she's feeding Blue! What is this -he's already had breakfast. Don't think it's the same fish Laddie brought, unless Lady took it off to the other side of the nest. Hmmmm.
Blue 44/Lewis still tucking in, kindly fed by mum
What!! Laddie arrives with another fish! Lady has snagged it and can you believe Blue is eating again! Laddie leaves
Morning Patily: Seem to be an awful lot of fish around today; not sure if it's two or three - surely not three already?
Morning Annette Could it be 2? and Blue being fed from left over piece?
Patily: Two seems more likely; can't imagine three in such a short time! Must confess I'm still watching Olympic replays.....
Lady took off a short time ago leaving Blue solo and flapping a bit. I'm off to bed!
