Squeaks near the nest.
Oh, it's a headless juve on the campost ;-)
Sorry all but I'm going to have to briefly insert a different species of bird for a moment. Isn't he totally awesome? I can't believe I got this close to him, they're supposed to be really shy. He did take off a minute later at which point I just admired the beautiful soaring and the diamond-shaped tail!!

What kind of bird is itClare???
It's a raven - I did get very excited as I live too far east to see them locally. This was taken near the summit of Snowdon.
Cally still on campost and calling very insistently!
Good negative psychology, Scylla - so glad Mo has double Gold.
Cally is still there.
Learning more every day about the bird heaven I live in.
Edit - I had an error message when I tried to post this. I'll try again - Cally STILL on post
Edit 2 - now see it DID post despite error message telling me to try again?!!!
Great photo of the raven, Clare. The only time I've managed to get that close was up in Orkney a few years ago. And you even got sunshine on Snowdon!

Quiet evening, even allowing for no sound. The infra-red just lit up the nest. (It is infra-red, isn't it? If not, what?)
Go on, it's only 15 seconds ;-)
