Copied from the Summary sat-track thread, for record purposes. It refers to problems with Blue YD's track line and points on GE giving incomplete results, compared to SWT's own tracking and own tracking webpage, blog. Hi Alan : 7.0.3.8542 is the latest GE desktop version. I checked this first...

This I shall copy to the Teccy thread. Hi Alan : 7.0.3.8542 is the latest GE desktop version. I checked this first and this is what I have, but I keep getting 'check your internet connection, GE cannot update' , this even although the connection is fine. I have not doctored the kml file...

  • Forum post: Re: Weekly Chat, Sunday March 7

For info. I posted this yesterday on the LGO Diary page. Starting today there are Google Street views on Google Earth covering almost 100% of the UK's roads, streets and countryside. They are copyright so I cannot show this, but there are panoramic views of Loch Garten, looking across the...

  • Forum post: Re: Tracking Other UK Ospreys

Hi Apumel, You wanted to find out where 'our' ospreys are. Well, at the moment the last information is that Rothes is on the Gironde, roosting (sleeping) at Dr Jones', esturgeon farm, in the trees, near Port Maubert, a very small harbour, which is near St Fort sur Gironde and Mallachie...
  • Forum post: Re: Tracking Other UK Ospreys

Alan, If you remenber I was going on about Barouins with Xalbai. He told me where it was and at that time it was the closest by 16Km to Rothes' travels. However it would be tricky to establish a positive sighting from the data alone. As you may know the GE kml files contain the date/time of the fixes...
