Minsmere is a fantastic place to watch birds and wildlife, but did you know it's also a great place to do your Christmas shopping away from the hustle and bustle of the High Street. Better still, most of your presents will be guilt-free, leading to more relaxing festive season.
I'm sure you're familiar with our superb range of Christmas cards and calendars, and perhaps you've treated your birds to a new feeder or sack of bird food recently, but did you know we offer much more than that?
How about our delicious new palm oil-free chocolate for a start? There are three flavours to choose from, all made without palm oil. Why is this important? Because palm oil plantations are one of the biggest contributors to tropical forest clearance. So you can even eat chocolate without feeling guilty.
Our Skinny Dipper range of toiletries is also ethically made, without the need for palm oil, and makes an excellent gift. We also have gorgeous ornaments and children's gifts to choose from.
Perhaps you're looking for a pair of binoculars to treat yourself of a loved one? There's a great offer on our Wildlife Explorers children's binoculars until 31 December. If you buy them with the fabulous new RSPB book Wild things to do with woodlice, for just £31.99, you'll save £4.50 and make a child very happy.
Why not give the gift of RSPB membership (or Wildlife Explorers membership for children) to a loved one, or buy them one of our virtual Good Natured Gifts - there's a huge range to choose from.
Better still, if you shop regularly in RSPB shops you might like one of our Big Saver cards. There's double points on Christmas gifts until 23 November.
Why not join us for our Christmas Fair on 20/21 November, carol singing on 27/28 November or Wildlife Explorers Christmas party on 4 December? There will be expert advice on offer.
Hot off the press - or should that be grill?
Birders brunches are now available at Minsmere. These consist of two delicious local sausages, two slices of local Suffolk bacon, beans and toast and are severed between 10 am and 11 am - ideal to start the day or to warm up after an early morning's birdwatching.
Our delicious bhome cooked local bacon or sausage butties are available every day from 10 am to 3 pm.
We've also extended our lunch time serving hours. Hot food is now available 11.30 am to 3 pm daily.
Yet more good reasons to visit Minsmere's tearoom, enjoy the superb photo or exhibitions and chat to our freindly catering team.
See you there!
