Have seen new Island Mere hide - it is lovely and I like the new design and panoramic views.
I can really see Minsmere plans taking shape and am glad everything is on schedule.
Thanks for the help getting seeds to the car (I have no muscle whatsoever!!). I liked your smaller temporary shop did my bit and bought lots.
Also loved the toasted cheese sandwiches.
No otters but did see majestic swans, cormorants and saw a bullfinch. Also saw a bird of prey over the woods at Island Mere hide, smaller than a sparrowhawk but too far away to get a good view of this, so will come back for another go at identifying.

Shame you missed the otters. They are still showing well. I glimpsed one today. Better luck next time.
Small birds of prey in winter will be one of three species - kestrel, male sparrowhawk (much smaller than females) or merlin (less likely to be soaring over woods).
