I am in my second home in Lincolnshire, and have spent the day at Freiston Shore. Thought I would share some East of England birds with you! ;o)

Excellent shots Ant. Looks like a very interesting location. Thanks for sharing!
It may be only a young house sparrow but a lovely shot nonetheless. Love the avocet chick too.
ps thought you're second home was Newport Wetlands!
beautiful shots :) as much as its the least 'interesting' subject, I really love that snail shot! Found a place up in the beacons where there are loooads of grebes as well. As soon as I can afford the fuel I'll be up there in a snap!
Give me a camera and stick me in the middle of nowhere!
Great images as always Ant.
And I thought your second home was the local hostelry and purveyor of Alcoholic beverages ( German Larger) :)
Hope to get to the wetlands sometime next week, (if your weather reports are accurate ;) ), We'll have to ask your boss if you're allowed out to play ;)
Best regardsNigel

Roath Park is another Grebe central. Got to admit, the snail is one of my favs as well!
;o)
I have a lot of second homes in the same way I have a lot of favourite birds! ;o)
Hopefully hour or so at Freiston in the morning to see if these winds have blown anything interesting in, and we will probably stop at Frampton on the way home on Monday.
