    2 Med Gulls were spotted from the marshland viewpoint this morning.

    Seen from the Marshes Viewing Point at Northward Hill on Monday 21st February:

    Teal
    Wigeon
    Tufted Duck
    Shoveler
    Shelduck
    Gadwall
    Mallard
    Coot
    Oystercatcher
    Greylag Geese
    Black Headed Gull
    Common Gull

    There were significant numbers of Teal and Wigeon on the islands on reservoir 3, the one directly in front of the viewing point, where, as the islands at Cliffe, the vegetation was cut down during early winter.

    from the marshland viewpoint:

    Mallard - 20, tufted duck - 30, teal - 400, wigeon - 200, little grebe - 3, lapwing - 320, gadwall - 40, shoveler - 30, coot - 160, oystercatcher -2 and 2 great crested grebes, almost in full summer plumage.
