Dead adder found beside the footpath on the reserve. RSPB Pulborough Brooks, Sussex, UK. 01/07/11. I would be intrigued to know what might have caused its death. It appeared to have a very narrow head for this species.

Dead adder. RSPB Pulborough Brooks. 01/07/11. If anyone has any idea what might have caused its death I would be intrigued to know. The body had inflated in the sun but must have been fairly recently deceased when I found it.
