Kestrel spotting

Kestrel spotting

Hi everyone,

We're lucky to have quite a few different birds of prey at Saltholme.  At this time of year, we get regular appearances from peregrines, merlins, sparrowhawks and marsh harriers.  It's the kestrels that are the stars of the show, though, and they're also the easiest to see.  Next time you're at Saltholme, keep your eyes peeled when you're around the car park, wildlfie watchpoint and from the cafe window.

Rick photographed this kestrel at the wildlife watchpoint gate and uploaded it to the Saltholme facebook page.

Bye for now,

Ben.
