With the plunging temperatures, the lakes and pools of Saltholme are beginning to freeze over.
As with the smaller birds, we like to provide food at this time of year. Each morning, grain is scattered around the waters edge, for the ducks and geese to enjoy.
As you can see, after the cold night, these mallards were very grateful for their grub this morning.
