I had a brill afternoon today with the second and last (for now at least!) of our grown-ups only cookery for birds masterclass. In spite of our mixing bowls going missing, everyone who took part produced some fantastic cuisine for the birds in their garden and made the most of Saltholme's series of 'grub's up' themed events.
We made a simple bird cake mix using whizzed up sunflower hearts and lard, followed by a cheesy mealworm loaf and some birdy cupcakes. Here are some snaps of the creations ...
