Due to various reasons we haven't done as much (for 'as much' read 'any') moth trapping this year. We decided to change that last night and after the storms had passed we popped the trap out to take advantage of the of the muggy conditions and we were well rewarded with a great variety of cryptic crackers (including some we couldn't identify as we're just beginners). The stars of the show, as they so often are, were three Elephant Hawk Moths, two of which you can see below. Thank you for the photo Jona.
