Yesterday was grim.

I won't lie; digging thistles out of fields in the freezing cold is not my idea of fun. Having to skate precariously across the ice of frozen ditches added an aspect of adventure, and I know it's a necessary part of conservation work etc etc...but all in all a pretty grim day.

'What's all this doom and gloom' I hear you cry? Wait for it! I'm getting to the silver lining...

Skylarks!

Since my summer at Titchwell Marsh I associate the song of skylarks with sunny mornings in the sand dunes. The sound of this twittering song sent me straight back to those halycon days on the coast.

It may not feel like it now but spring is just around the corner. If you want to make the most of this springtime why not come along to one of our events?

They are very popular so book early and give yourself something to look forward to.
