A splendid Western Conifer seed bug, which was only seen for the first time in Bedfordshire last year, has been spotted on one of the walls at The Lodge HQ this morning. It is native to the USA but has been spreading rapidly throughout Europe in recent years. It may find The Lodge to it’s liking, as it feeds on pine trees, which are plentiful here.We will have to look out for them on next years mini-beast safaris.More great images here;http://bedsflorafauna.blogspot.com/
