What a start to the day-just turning off the A1 into Sandy this morning and a flock of birds flew up  beside the road. I could see straight away that they were Waxwings! I managed to park the car around the corner ( St Neots Road) and walked back with my binoculars to watch around twenty five of these stunning birds dropping off a a wire and into one of the gardens. It's getting very late to see them in this part of the country, they will be starting their migration journeys back to the North anyday now.

Happy Mothers day to all of our Mum bloggers! We have a Mothers Day nature quiz today, I'm just going out into the sunshine to set it up. Hope to see you later!
