The country returned to work and school today and we've passed Easter, the Royal Wedding, a Dawn Chorus walk and a Bank Holiday with the sun shining throughout! It has been very blustery over the last few days however, but it is calm sunny and settled again now.Bird highlights over the holiday have been up to five cuckoo's on and around the reserve, a tree pipit  on the heath (Thurs 28), good numbers of warblers, a raven (3rd) and a glimpse of a spotted flycatcher at the Gatehouse this morning.

The bluebells that looked so amazing last week have slowly faded but the wisteria is still looking great, come up very soon if you want to enjoy it at its best!
