Well the bacon rolls are legendary but didn't expect them to attract a rare moth. This morning Paul Eele the warden came into work and noticed a large moth on the window to our servery. On closer inspection, it turned out to be a Clifden nonpareil...

The last 5 or 6 days have been perfect for the migration of birds from the increasingy cold continent. Lots of winter visitors from the north and east have been passing through the reserve but we have never seen anything like the invasion of starlings...

Any ideas? A couple of clues - I have a wingspan of over 6 feet, I am a summer visitor to Titchwell, I can be seen hunting over the reedbed. If you have gone for marsh harrier you would be right. While checking the reedbed this afternoon I came...

Wow! What a weekend. Our 'Wings Over Titchwell' event was this weekend and fun was had by all. The idea was to see how many species we could record on the reserve. Both mornings started at 5am with dawn chorus walks and for a change, the weather...
