In the summer months when visiting Tollie I have noticed a veritable plethora of bugs in the building, particularly inside the viewing window. Whilst these are ghastly things and a nuisence to most folk there are many others who would find them fascinating. I myself am no expert but can't help to wonder if there may be some rarities amongst them, aspecially as they aren't 'townie' bugs that people see every day but are unwittingly trapped in the Highland countryside. Maybe this Summer we could invite some experts along to see what they can find. Has anyone seen anything unusual inside the building?? The best I can come up with is a huge centipede on the floor.

Like everyone else I have theories and opinions on lots of things I know b*gger all about.
Now there's a thought, taking photos of them once they have landed on the glass. Mind you the windows up at Tollie would need a good wash first.
Lovely shots! As a child I always considered shield bugs to be 'friendly' as they would walk about slowly on your hand!!! They are beautiful bugs.
I can vouch for the fact that they are friendly and don't bite
I get green and dark red varities in my garden , probably different species or at different stages of development.

I think there'll be some great bugs at Tollie this year as we've had a relatively mild Winter. That is, if we don't have a major cold snap before the Spring! Here's hoping.
