Our final day at Burghley House, and what a day it was. An osprey came round fishing on the lake twice (or was it two birds?). The second time sharp eyes spotted two more birds of prey high up above it, hobbies!
The other great thing about the day was the number of new members that joined us. It is always great to welcome new people into the RSPB, and today a grand total of five people signed up. Many thanks for doing so, and welcome to the RSPB.
We really have enjoyed our two weeks in the gardens here. We've met lots of nice people, seen some great birds and made lots and lots of dragonflies. We are already looking forward to coming back next year!
