So, its back off out we go this weekend. This time the Top Lodge team are off to Rutland Water for Rutland Day, the annual celebration of the county status of Rutland. There will be lots happening at the event, which is held on the banks of Rutland water at Sykes Lane. For the kids there will be bouncy castles, balloon modelling and lots of fun activities. For the adults there is a licensed bar and the Rutland Food Festival, with lots of local producers showing off their wares and cookery demonstrations from top chefs. There will also be live music from a variety of bands.

What part are we playing in all this? Well, we are of course going along with our badge maker and tombola. A chance to win a cuddly toy, or to make your very own wildlife badge. But also, we are bringing our crack team of facepainters. So you too can be painted up as a tiger, spiderman, butterfly or many other designs. So do come along!

The event runs on Saturday, 11 am - 6 pm and is free entry, though there will be car parking charges of £3. For more details, check out the link above.
