Hi Mick, The top one looks like a Redshank to me. I agree with TJ about the second bird being a Purple Sandpiper. :-)

I don't think you are I'm afraid, Desbo. The bird is far too large, the bill is far too long and it is turned pronouncedly upwards. The jizz is all wrong. A Curlew Sandpiper is much smaller wader

Hmmm, first photo look like Skylark to me (plainish back, white outer tail feathers, trailing edge of wing, etc). Second photo is a female Lapland Bunting.
