You can rest assured that your photography is not the worst here, I can never usually take quick pics of any sort, especially birds! By the way, nice pictures, I rarely see a pair of birds in one place

i think they are two different birds, the breast markings on the first bird look darker and more numerous

Should have looked more carefully, Seymour's point as well as the legs that are smaller in proportion to the rest of its body. Those little details do fly by me sometimes, or it might just be that

I would say that this bird is a Lesser Black backed gull. This ID was mainly helped by the size of it compared with those Shags in the second picture. A Great Black backed would have been a much larger
