Sunday's "Raptor Watch" again produced the goods with a fantastic display of hunting from a local barn owl..... After several close passes the owl decided to move on and off it went to nearby pastures ... A solitary woodcock flew out of the marsh heading in the same direction ...

Thanks for starting this 'thread' as sunsets are one of my favourite subjects for photos, the following one was taken in March this year from our front doorstep. I was also up early in May and saw this sunrise at 05:09am ,photo from our rear garden. and finally if not too boring...

WOW!!!!! Just stumbled upon this thread and have been thoroughly inspired. It's reminded me to lift my eyes and lens more often and admire the beautiful and ever-changing sky above. Is there a name for people who watch the sky? Skyers, perhaps? Not skiers, anyway... Here are some of my sky...

I love watching the sun rise and set

A blackbird's rich song - unhurried, melodious - in the evening air unfurls a sense of peace.. .. after the day's work is done which settles in the cool, peach sunset sky.

As the sun sets on a glorious winter's day, the sky is turned golden. Amazing!

Everyone had gone home. Just me, the still water, the sunset and the birds. Didn't matter that I had to cycle home in the dark afterwards. It was worth the bumpy ride along the unlit towpath to have watched the sun go down that evening. Magic.
