There was a rare visitor to the osprey nest at Glaslyn late last week. One of the 2008 chicks made a surprise visit, which is incredibly unusual as ospreys rarely return to the exact spot where they fledged from. Find out more by checking out the Glasylyn osprey blog.
It may be not so unusual where the nest is isolated and a young bird can find no other nests in the region. Rutland youngsters have been reported intruding at the nest where they were raised.
Thanks for letting us know Hilary J. It's seems to be pretty rare at Glaslyn so it'd be interesting to know if it was to do with where the nests are.
