Fantastic
Brilliant. It certainly made short work of that. Do you know what its victim was?

A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song. (Chinese proverb)
Hi thanks for your replys my brother loves filming birds and your views mean a lot
we think his meal was a starling,
Great video and they don't waste anything do they
Enjoy the world around you
See my photos on flickr here http://www.flickr.com/photos/strawberry191/
Thankyou, my brother did a great job,
It was remarkable to watch we think it even ate the starlings legs and feet.
Can anyone tell me if it's a male or female?
For a guess i'm going for a female.
They are larger than the male.
Thats a cracking bit of filming, thank you so much for uploading it.
Would go along with the female youngster.
But a Sparrowhawk is a fantastic Bird

Thankyou for your comments, this sparrowhawk visits our garden regularly, but this is the 1st time my brother managed to captured it on film.
The one in my garden ate a whole collared dove and at the end there was just a puddle of feathers and not many of those either.
Thank you for the video :-)
A very old Shropshire Lad.
So far my brother has 60 views on the video,
The sparrowhawk normally swoops down and grabs a bird off the bird table then flies off.
