Yep ..... we got it, well and truly. Thunder and tropical torrential rain, then sun, then rain, then sun, then rain. And when I say rain, I mean rain. Poor birds didn't know what to do!
Cheers, Linda.

House-bound here in the noth-east. Never seen so much rain in so short a time. At the peak of the storm over 1000 lightning strikes were recorded in a minute!
Pictures on TyneTeesTV website, mainly showing Newcastle, but some also from surrounding regions.

Once again our part of N.Yorks seems to have missed the worst again. The first photo is a bit like it was on our local patch after a shower this afternoon, must have had 50 Swifts in the air along a similar number of Swallows and Sand Martins.House Martins seemed to be missing for some reason though.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
Unbelievable, but no rain here today in East Lancs. Just 5 minutes of drizzle.
Red Grouse - that looks horrendous up there in the north east.
It certainly was not the weather to be going outside, especially with a camera that is not designed for underwater photography!
