Now I am going to have to 'steal' one of these and make a cardboard cut out and stick it near the hide to wind Judi up :)..... excellent Doggie - this is going to give you hours of free entertainment over the autumn.

Thanks Caroline i can't wait for the leaves to drop there's a dyke/stream that runs all the way around my patch and you can see them in different locations..and then there is the SEO,s that turn up..magic
I've still not got any as good as Judi though
What stunning photos Doggie, I've not been able to get on line for a week what with visitors etc and saw your thread just now. So that's what you do e'h, a stick in a pond gets a kingfisher or two is that right, OK I've a pond, and fish, I'd sacrifice them for a chance to see your beautiful birds.
Lot to learn
Great picures and stories Alan really entertaining.
Didn't know what to expect when you put the wife on the title lol
Keep em coming

Hi Doggie, just caught up with this thread, not been on here much lately. Fantastic photos, well done. They look beautiful in the sun.

Well done again Alan, it's great that you've got her too, I'm so pleased for you :)
The truth is I'm mad. We are all mad and many are too mad to know the truth.
Thanks Toadflax and Birdie it's been great fun..back to cloudy weather this morning.
well done on 'the wife' Alan, gorgeous bird and lovely shots. You do know that we're all going to expect the next pics to be of 'baby kingfishers' LOL
Cheers Deb

LOL thankfully they don't nest on my patch, would hate for them to get disturbed, but you never know they may visit me.
What a change in weather i set off on my walk this morning in a t shirt and glorious sunshine so i had half an hour sat with the Kingfishers, within 5 mins the Wife turned up...
it then turned cold, started raining heavy and felt like winter so called it a day instead of going on my usual walk.
It is now glorious again though with dark clouds brewing.
edit..forgot to say she was that comfortable with me being sat there she even had a go at fishing no more than 12ft away from me..magical.
Magical indeed! Another series of great photos Doggie.
She is comfortable with you because you are a permanent fixture in her life now. She will miss you when you've gone. LOL
Cheers, Linda.
