Having not been out for two days, sorting out summer holiday accommodation etc, I was alowed out this afternoob. Unfortunately it was very grey and lots of moisture in the air. I opted to go up the M5 to Upton Warren to see what was there. Green Sandpiper was first up. Next the Avocets...

Jack Snipe and others at Upton Warren
After an enjoyable Easter weekend visiting family up North, I was able to get out this afternoon and enjoy the sunshine though we still had a cold wind. another go with my compact cam, cold weather doesn`t seem to be putting these off xx
i am still waiting for my new camera so in the mean time i take pics with my compact so the quality isn`t always top notch but i still think these are decent enough to recognise what they are xxx

just before i turned off....along came the redpolls and goldfinches xx
i was ready to turn off my camera when i noticed these just starting to argue over the Niger feeder so i managed a couple of pics, please remember these are taken with a compact camera so the quality isn`t top notch but still decent i think xxxx

Pictures from a new reserve for me - Upton Warren
Today was grey, miserable and drizzle for a large part of the day. However I was surplus to requirements today so decided to go out and visit a new reserve - the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust reserve at Upton Warren. Why pick a day like today to visit a new reserve? Today I went to Cotswold Water Park, as I haven't been there for a proper walk about - only previously visited for cycling with Mrs Bob, when I'm supposed to be getting exercise not enjoyment(-:). It was a longer walk round to the hides than I thought but it was very nice - a bit of haze keeping...

Took another walk around Coombe Hill Nature Reserve today. The Red Necked Phalarope was still there today but was as uncoperative as yesterday, remaining well out of decent photo range.Also was able to walk round to the other hide and pool for the first time since the water started to recede and saw...
