Not much within snapping distance but plenty to watch:
Lapwings
Sanderlings
Green Sandpiper
Black Headed Gulls
Herons
Ringed Plovers
The usual Ducks, Coots & Moor Hens amongst others.
It the reed hide I spotted a Reed Warbler and I think I glimpsed a Sedge Warbler. Whilst being quite I heard some rustling to my left and up popped a Fox just 3 feet away. It looked at me and wondered off calmly. No photos I'm afraid execpt these few:
Not brilliant as the light was poor.

How could I forget I spotted my first ever female Linnet today at this reserve.
It was some distance away but still stunning.
Superb photos as usual. I love white flowers and (as Eilid said) you have caught the water droplets beautifully. I am so pleased you had an excellent day out.

You do yourself an injustice. These photos are brilliant to me. I also love the wasp and the glints of water beads on the front Canada Goose. Well captured! :-)

It was my first visit and will be popping back there from time to time.
As we all know this type of reserve are very seasonal and the birds residing change from one month to another.
They have supposed to have had Avocets in recent years - but none yesterday.
