  • Here, by Loch Fyne, in farming landscape, surrounded by forestry, larch trees, and meadow, a wealth of wildlife awaits. This year birds have included red-legged partridges and several pheasants feeding, a family of red squirrels, martins and swallows building nests under our eaves, a kestrel and a peregrine falcon occasionally visiting, a multitude of butterflies, bees, and other useful insects, and a black hybrid wildcat getting caught in our coalbin.

  • Hi Jackie, wow you truly have a wildlife garden, seriously jealous. It sounds like a beautiful part of the country that you live, I get up to Scotland maybe once or twice a year, last winter with the intention of seeing Ptarmigan that I achieved, but to have that diversity of habitat and rich variety of wildlife to observe on a daily basis you are extremely lucky. Regards Gary.
