Ive not been around for a little while, did not have much time to do any photography prior to going away a week last Friday. I ended up with a bad case of Conjunctivitis in my left eye a couple of weeks before i went away, and then on top of that got a stye in the same eye. Incidently the left eye is the one i use for looking through the viewfinder. Pink eye now gone but stye remains, thankfully it was not too bad when i was away, more than i could say about the weather. Although i did not let it dampen my spirits.
I have quite a lot of images to show so if nobody minds i will show a small selection of them over the next few days instead of all together in one post. Post would become a little image heavy.
It was a vacation of 1st sightings for me, of our feathery friends anyway. 1st sighting of the Greenfinch, Juvi Goldfinch, I am guessing my image 4 is a Redshank?? Not up on my waders. Also 1st sighting for the Avocet. And the closest i have seen an Oystercatcher. It was still some distance away in the shot above.
Anyway that is it for today, a very small selection of images to look over. Enjoy
Hi Mark that sounded nasty with the eye, glad it's cleared up.
Cracking photos where did you go
My photos are on Flickr and Website
Hi Alan!!! Thanks :)
Yes it was, eye is still blurred with the stye but not as bad as it was.
We went down to W Sussex, we usually do Wales but needed a change. Great time even though it was quite wet some days :)
It's good to hear you got to see something new
Visited Pulborough Brooks and Pagham Harbour which are RSPB sites, although both locations were fairly quiet. Spent more time photographing the Deer at Pulborough than the birds. Although was happy to catch sight of the Avocets, 4 in total. There were also other new sightings for me at Pagham harbour but distant sightings, not good for photographing.
Also visited WWT Arundel as well, so many species i have never seen there too, even if some were wildfowl from around the world, id say around 30 new species to me personally :)
