Hi Sparrow
I have done a few things on the guided option. I think I have it in my head that it is too difficult and I really should spend sometime on photoshop learning the basics. Ideally I should find a class in my area where someone shows you what to do! I started looking at the Adobe tutorial videos online and they were really good but I have never went back to them, I think a lack of time is something to do with it aswell.
Best wishes Lolly

Just tried using pixlr on the Buzzard photo with wires and achieved the same result. Dead easy.

Wow I'm not the only one then that is apprehensive of getting in too deep. Don't feel quite so stupid now.
Now that looks and sounds brilliant TJ I'll definitely give it a go on pixir, just been cutting hubby's hair so need a rest! try again tomorrow.
Thanks everyone.
Lot to learn
You're definately not the only one Gaynor, i've tried them all and struggled but a couple of minutes on the link TJ gave you i produced this.

No wonder that buzzard keeps looking around, he is wondering why the wires keep disappearing
Visiting the Cotswold Water Park. Have a look at http://cotswoldwaterpark.wordpress.com/
Don't know what he'll make of this then lol
Sorry Gaynor

Nah, he's looking at his mate. They are trying to decide where to go hunting
Seriously though, despite our mucking about, it's quite a powerful package. It may not have all the features of paid for image processing software but it appears to be able to do a lot. For most people who just want to tweak the images a bit and even as we've shown do a bit of tidying up I would have thought it was perfectly adequate. The one thing it can't handle is RAW images but then not many people use those anyway.
If you are prepared to sign up you can create albums and link to your Flickr and Facebook accounts. I logged in with my Google account OK.
Good luck Gaynor. Give it a go and see how you get on.
Thought I would give Pixlr a bash and Photoshop a go too after Teejay's recomendations!
This one is Pixlr, done in 8 minutes with the cloning tool but I have lost the clarity of the buzzard.
This photo on Photoshop took me 30 minutes to learn the cloning too but much better result.
Thanks Teejay I might just have got my interest back in Photoshop and will have to look out my manual.
I thought I would give Pixlr a second go. I am quite happy with this especially it being a free product!
I've had a go on Pixir too. Just a couple of minutes. I'm dead chuffed! I shall practice on my PS now.
Cheers, Linda.

Lol I think I need to practice cropping! Well done Sparrow
Look what you've started Gaynor lol.
Well done ladies. This poor unsuspecting Buzzard has never had so much attention. There he was minding his own business sitting happily amongst the wires and along we all came to disturb his day. LOL
Well I've finished my jobs and settled down to play with my photos and found 33 e-mails to be read! Well you are so funny you lot, just to keep you busy I'll download the other 12 pics I took of him for you to play with while I try to have a go at TJ's site....only joking. Maybe I'll be able to put up a half decent one in an hour or so,,,,,love to you all and thanks for the smashing replies.
Right I've tried for about an hour and a half and all I get is the pick your colour and paint pot and then it freezes and the egg timer comes on and nothing else then it says programme not responding so patience gone, perhaps I need to get computer looked at. Going to look at forum now to calm down!!
