In the online Telegraph this morning there are some amazing examples of animal camouflage. This image of a gecko caught my eye but there are some other equally extraordinary examples on the same page. Aren't animals clever.

Unbelievably clever, incredible photo, must check out the others - thanks.
I am still not sure I could see the Mossy one (first photo) and definately had difficulty with the Potoo. Thank you for finding those TJ - amazing.
Caroline in Jersey
Like you Caroline, and even enlarging the first photo, I'm not certain that I can see the gecko. I've seen a Potoo in Tobago and I can confirm they are very nearly invisible when roosting in a tree like that. I couldn't see it until the guide got his scope on it.
Some incredible photos there TJ

Some amazing creatures there, TJ. I didn't have a problem with the mossy ones, or the Potoo, but I did have trouble with the Leaf Frog, and the Bat Faced Toad. I was reminded of Ray's "Shaapes in the Wood" thread when looking throught these.
