Here is another real wow video but not as nice as the one above. It is a battle between a jackdaw and a kesrel for a nestbox.
The first video brought tears to my eyes Tiger.
Exhilarating yet sobering. Thank you.
The second I remember well! :) Trying to remember how it turned out for the kestrels in the end.

If I remember rightly it started off with the stock doves which were evicted bu the jackdaws. The jackdaws were evicted by kestrel. The kestrel laid eggs but they got abandoned as I think the the male kestrel got killed. I think the stock dove moved in again. I am sure that the story is to be found at Hancock.
Meanwhile I have recovered what must be the best bank of live webcams in the world. They include that most interesting of nests the de Mortel peregrines who apparently are creating news yet again.
Yes I remember the stock doves now. The whole thing was so dramatic.
Thanks for the fresh link to de Mortel. Hope no one gets hurt this time.
BTW what is the latest news on S2?
Blimey, that is one hell of a fight. It had my adrenalin rushing and heart beating. I can hardly believe both birds came out of it apparently unhurt.
The whole story of the kestrel nest is here There is a lot of it.
A wonderful video TIGER - Born to fly but it also made my heart ache
Didn't dare finish the Jackdaw/Kestrel fight in one or other was badly damaged :( Oh thank you SPARROW for the heads up on safety

You can watch it right to the end. Both jackdaw and kestrel survive but later the male kestrel disappeared leaving mum alone with about six eggs which she abandoned.
I agree - a WOW video. I have to say the first video made me cry.
