Hi Sheena, thanks for advice will keep an eye on situation. The adults have since spotted the( two) fallen chicks who luckily landed 20ft down on lower branches.Just seen the parents going in with food.
Hi beasknees,
glad to hear the parents have spotted the two chicks. Keep up updated on the situation please :o)
Are the chicks very old by the way?
FANTASTIC :0)
Glad they didn't fall to the ground. Let us know the outcome - some photos would be brilliant if you can manage some from your house. Love to see a sparrowhawk chick.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi Paul , they both look healthy still with white feathers in patches on head and wings. We are veiwing from across garden..binoculars..Chicks moving about on yew bush branches, at least sheltered from fairly strong winds.Parents have swung into action and are bringing food back on reg basis. This pair have nested same tree for several years , same nest ,repaired annually .

have managed to get a poor picture of one of the chicks . see gallery . did not want to get too close. Pocket camera on its full zoom + Had to be quick.
Hi beasknees
I'm so glad that the young sparrowhawks have survived and that the parents have found them and can still feed them. I will keep my fingers crossed that they will be OK.
The sparrowhawk nest on Springwatch had Chris Packham doing his 'thigh rubbing', as he thought it was great. It was also Simon Kings favourite part of the series along with the hobby.
Please keep us informed about this family, I'm sure we want to see them survive.
Best wishes Chris
