  • In the past year or so I've noticed an enormous increase in my local crow population. I am in a suburb of North London and live near a park, where they all seem to roost. Some days I've counted at least 20 at one time, just in the immediate area surrounding my garden. Has anyone else experienced this sudden boom in their area too, and do you have any theories about it? The magpie population appears to have decreased at the same time - don't know if this is related...?

  • In our area corvid numbers do seem to increase im the winter months probably because we notice more crows, rooks and jackdaws heading for their communal roost.

birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,just enjoy it while you can.
