Hi, Five minutes ago I was watching the birds in the garden and a blackbird came down and it looked like it had fallen in a pot of white paint, It had a white mark the size of a 2p on the right side of its neck and white speckles all over its chest. I have not seen it before so wondered is it a mutation that it has or is there something wrong with it. Also my ring doves are mating again is this the norm as I haven't seen any babies from their last mating a couple of months ago.

Hi Meesha
It will probably have leucism, meaning it will lose some of its colour, have a look here www.rspb.org.uk/.../463471.aspx.
I think Doves have a long nesting period so it will be usual.
