im putting my nest box back up tomorrow (after a good clean out) but i have bought another one both suitable for blue /great tits etc what i was wondering is the space i should put between them ? i have four trees out the back door which is the only suitable places and at the furthest apart from each box would be about 12 feet, would there be a problem with the closeness of them or would any 2 nesting pairs get along ok ?
by the way last year a great tit pair moved in and had 2 successful familys, well pleased.

12 feet might be a bit close but seeing you already have the 2nd box i would put it up anyway, if different species use them it could be ok.
