Female ruff? (I'm usually wrong with these!).

Hi Roy, it looks like a Ruff and at this time of year without the "ruff" most likely a female. However, I'm not sure Ruff have bright yellow legs I thought they were more pinky brown coloured. I think you may have got yourself a Lesser or Greater yellow legs there, bit of a rairity if you have.I'm probably wrong tho, usually am.

I agree with Andrew's first thought - Ruff. The leg colour varies considerably - this bird is within normal variation.
