Is this a Willow Warbler? It's not from any of my previously visited areas. Looking at my pictures of Chiffchaffs and previous postings on IDs this bird has lighter legs than the Chiffchaff. Grateful for your help, as this would be another first for me(-:)

Yes, Willow Warbler IMHO. Last pic shows off its long wings very nicely :)
psst, want to see my blog? http://mazzaswildside.blogspot.co.uk/
Hi Bob. One feature is never quite enough with Willowchiffs. Here, as well as the pale legs, we have decently long primary projection; pale ear coverts making the eye ring inconspicuous, and a crisp clean look. The supercilium is a bit vague and, ideally, I'd like to see a bit more yellow going on but, even so, I'd call it a Willow Warbler.
Every day a little more irate about bird of prey persecution, and I have a cat - Got a problem with that?
Thank you both, quite made my day not having another Chiffchaff - no offence to Chiffchaffs though.
Know what you mean there Bob! Superb shots of the Willow Warbler though!
