I took this shot in Mid Argyll a few days ago - I looked it up in my guide and RSPB website (could not post photo on forum as internet access was too week and erratic) and thought perhaps female Redstart - any ideas? I would be grateful if somebody could please help. I attach 2 photos as my exposure was not great - one has just been cropped, the other has been "auto color corrected" - I would say the actual colour was somewhere between the two - definitely a blueish/blue-gray tinge.
and now the "auto color corrected" one
thanks

I agree with that!

Seriously thinking about trying harder!
Me too, a lovely under-rated dunnock.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi, thanks for your suggesting dunnock. There were quite a lot of dunnocks around (and I have them in my garden too) - this bird did not appear to have the usual brown streaking etc - however, must just have been the late evening light!
Thanks
