I agree that's a Dung fly Scathophaga stercoraria. Whenever I see them I always think of the old Monty Python joke. What's brown and sounds like bell ? Dung !
This one was in a Privet hedge. A surprising amount of insect life in there.

The ID's on the bees looks good as well - the Tree Bumblebees are very worn though.
