Hi, I have found a birds nest on a shelf in my verranda. On the day after I found it there were 2 eggs in it but no sign of any bird, then again this morning another egg, again no sign of any birds. I have made sure that nobody touches anything and am trying to use the verranda as little as I can.
I don't know which bird it is and is it unusual for eggs to be there with no bird 'nesting'.
Hope someone can help, I have uploaded a pic that I took this morning.
Hi Sues welcome to the forum, hopefully someone will ID them for you.
She probably wont start incubating them until she has laid them all..

Can't tell the size of eggs but probably a Blackbird,we have one about 2 feet from back door in a Honeysuckle shrub.
It looks like a robin's nest and eggs. If another egg has appeared it must be an active nest, so try not to be looking at it often, and hopefully you will have baby robins.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Iwould agree with Rach Robin
She will lay an egg a day could be up to 6
Then will sit and incubate, this is so all the chicks hatch at the same time
