it was with another one but by the time we got back one had gone to take a photo.
it was found on the steps to go to the beach in reiss scotland
Its a Common lizard (Lacerta vivipara) having one hellava sunbathing session.Nice picture.The reptile is however,basking" against the grain" lol.

Only ever seen a sand lizard in the sand dunes at Southport, must be nearly 40 years ago (young child). It must have been lovely to just come across a lizard unexpectedly!
