Hi all,
these birds have arrived in my garden over the last few days and I have never seen them before,
I first thought they could be baby tits but they are the same size as the regular Blue Tits that visit the garden.
They also seem to have much longer tails, could they be Long Tailed Tits?
Im sure someone here will ID them easily.
Pete
Hiya they sure are LTT's Great photos

My photos are on Flickr and Website

its the first time I have ever seen them in the back garden, I spent the last few days trying to get a photo but they only feed for a few minutes in the morning and then leave. So today I set up my Canon camera with CHKD script running and managed to get these photos.
Hi Hartrockets, you photographing through Glass?
Yes I know they appear and zoom off very quickly you did well to get those shots :)
Hiya Pete
They don't seem to hang around long i've only ever had them in winter, they seem to fly in feed and leave within a few minutes..I've only managed a few quick photos, nothing like yours, well done
Yes I was shooting through glass, I keep missing them so set my Canon SX200 up with a script to dectect movement so everytime a bird lands on the feeder it takes a shot.
its cheating really but Im really happy with the results.
Hey it's not cheating lol, you got the photograph! Result lol
I am impressed with that feeder, did you make it? what a brilliant design
The feeder is a suet log feeder from Pets at Home.
Thanks for that, gives me an idea for a carving project lol
Lucky you to have these lovely little birds in your garden. I have seen them locally to me, but never had them in the garden.
Great pics too
Sarah
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...
