A flock of Redwing have been slowly stripping the berries from a large holly tree in a neighbours garden. It has been really frustrating trying to get a decent photo. Out of 50+, I have saved a couple but they are heavily cropped and only really record shots. Today, three of the birds sat in a nearer tree but really high up and I decided to try again. Out of another ten shots, this was the only half-decent one but I liked it because of the angle - it really does show the 'red wing'.

That's a great shot from a really unusual angle. Your persistence paid off. They are skittish birds aren't they?

A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song. (Chinese proverb)
Brilliant photo GD it's great to get it from that angle.
Same as TJ says they are very skittish birds along with the Fieldfares

Great shot, well captured. Have never seen these near me, although we do get some on the playing field at school.
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...
