  • Wow- amazing photos Linda. They do love suet! The sparrows are getting through 2 feeders of suet pellets a day at the moment( they're worth every penny though). My garden is  busy until about 8pm. Only get 2 starlings but they are like little whirlwinds!I have the same Jacobi Jayne feeder as you - only jackdaws and magpies use it though!

  • Thanks Aiki and Jayne.

I have 2 of those Jacobi Jayne feeders and they all use it - robins, tits, starlings, jackdaws, etc. The only ones that seem to struggle are the sparrows, although they nibble at the suet tubs from the safety of the conifer hedge or trellis as they can just about reach. I've even seen a dunnock sitting on the top and nibbling!
