Hi all, sometime back I mentioned the Sparrowhawk visiting my garden, the garden is coming on nicely now, flowers and trees doing fine. Well the Sparrowhawk has been a regular visitor and this morning he was sat on the fence for sometime. he feeds here often, but once he has gone the birds return to their feeding. he takes the odd Starling, I don`t mind that, there are loads of them and they mob the feedings stations, and for the fainthearted he does need to eat and feed his young. These photo`s were taken through a double glazed window this morning Wednesday 4th July 2012.

Hi Alan, yes he sat there for sometime, I dare not open the back door, because he was looking right at it, so I decided to try and take some pictures through the bedroom window, (we are in a bungalow). He made a strike from the top of the fence, but it was in the field at the other side of the fence, so I left him to it.
Nice shots, Dave. Not everyone's favourite bird but I think they are are pretty special and they play their part in the balance of nature.

A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song. (Chinese proverb)
I agree with you there TJ, they are special in their own way, as are all birds from the little Jenny Wren right up to the Golden Eagle, I love em all. :)
Like you say Dave everything has it's place and need to feed. Nature has always found a way. It's only man that gets thats gets it so wrong, so often.
Great pictures.
