For the past two weeks or so I have had objects left in exactly the same place on my patio table every morning without fail. I use it when I'm putting out food for the day. So far I've had a variety of pebbles, stones, bits of stick, lumps of moss, bottle tops, piece of plastic radiator pipe covering and ring pulls! I have a few pebbles on the window sill and they get moved to the table too. I'm guessing it is a magpie - I have about 8 that have been coming regularly and a few young ones. I wondered if anyone else has noticed this?

I only get one magpie in, and he does a quick in and out. You will have to move the objects around Jayne and get your camera out to see which one is doing the cleaning up!!

Can't help you Jayne but it does sound like a Magpie bringing you presents thanking you for the food lol.

LOL Jayne. I've never seen this either but would guess at a magpie. Keep your eyes open, there could be a diamond ring there one day! They do like anything that shines!!

some mice will cover food this way. if there is grain under neath it could well be mouse
