Opened the stairs curtaiins to these this morning...House Creepers..sorry not what you were expecting lol.
I wonder if they are getting something off it with it being a new house?
Regards Alan
My photos are on Flickr and Website
Cute Doggie, maybe they are just wondering what that yellow thing is over there warming them up! All I get when opening the curtains are a load of black wings whizzing away from the feeders.
Lot to learn
Alan I suspect they are just after any insects on the walls. We get them on our garage wall a lot and they always look ask if they are feeding. Usually when the sun has been on the wall and it's hot, which I think might attract insects t warm up.
Bob, happily retired(-:)

Think they get salt from the mortar Alan.
Watch out for brick peckers lol

a good laugh is better than a tonic
Hi Gaynor and Bob , i've not seen them doing it again so there may have been insects on the wall in the sunshine.
Nice one Stich,TJ and Ray lol.
@Ray i think i can remember a post last year sometime that Sparrows were pecking at someone limestone mortar so you could be right.
One question Alan does your new species of Creeper come in both house and tree types ?
Not at the minute Robert just House
Hi alan, is photo 2 also a creeper? a tree creeper? ive seen them in my garden but wasnt sure if it was a sparrow or something? i'll keep my eyes peeled now
Cheers, Jason
Hi Jason they are all House Sparrows.

They`re after insects-Brickworms.You`ve heard of woodworm? These are much worse.
Much much worse.
May have to have house rebuilt possibly. Can you see the stars through your bedroom wall yet?
Dont despair, your sparrows may save you yet.
ps. I fear London may be eaten before the end of the Games.
Thankfully Edgebander it's not my house.
Now I know this has turned into "the last of the summer wine" show. Brickworms better ring the council.
